day eighty seven // thirteen.

once again, today was an odd day, and i feel like i didn't do much ACTUAL work. i got to site promptly at 8, and finished installing the last electrical boxes, since the gtcc boys finished framing the last room yesterday. then robert gave me the task of marking on the ceiling where all the overhead lights/fans/etc are going to go. megan & i got started on this, but soon realized we needed a bit more explanation, as most of the lights were in between joists, so i didn't know if we had to put blocking in or how to handle the situation. however, robert had left for a meeting or something, and denise wasn't quite sure what we should do, so we had to wait for him to return before we could ask him & proceed. however, he wasn't due to get back until 11.30, so megan & i helped do some small tasks around site in the meantime: we cleaned out & organized the shed a bit, put some plywood over a window because the size of it changed, and other random things like that. also, the roofing materials arrived today! and the roofing guy gave josh, cody & anna a lesson on how to install the roof, and it looks like that's what they'll be working on for the next few weeks!

also today, fox news came! yesterday, i sent some emails out to local news stations, and fox promptly responded and said they wanted to cover the story! then today around 11.30, i got a voicemail from stewart pittman at fox 8, saying he wanted to cover our story today! so he came by at about 1 to do some interviews & filming, and he got some good shots of us doing work. it was pretty cool. it aired this evening right before the 6.00 news started, so HOPEFULLY we got more people interested in the project!

anyway, after stewart did his thing, megan, allison, janel, debbie, robert & i had a quick LEED meeting, to figure out some more things we can take care of on site, and how to get started documenting ALL the materials we've purchased so far. by the time we finished, it was about 2.30, and i had to leave for work!
