so today it was BEAUTIFUL out! and even though we were basically doing the same stuff as yesterday, it as seemed much less boring. for pretty much the whole day, megan, anna, cody and i sorted & bundled wood. we also organized the wood that had been randomly strewn about. megan, anna and i also ripped up our ICF creation that was poured with concrete the week before spring break. robert is thinking about exposing the concrete on a wall that will eventually be a hallway, so we were testing out how ripping off the styrofoam would go. it's a bit of a pain in the ass to get it all off, but it would look REALLY cool. the studs stick out, but they could possibly be sawn off, or used to hang up piece of backlit 3-form or something, which i think would be really cool. so we'll see what he decides to do about that.
we also had a little pow-wow today about what's going to happen over the next few weeks. the gtcc boys are [supposedly] putting up sill plates and knee walls so that the roof can be put on. they're going really slowly though, so robert said we may be helping them/taking over kind of. because we need the roof on so that we can pour the concrete slab. so while the boys are working on the roof, we're going to be grading the site, laying the perimeter drain, taking down the rest of the scaffolding, and things like that. and robert has given the boys a deadline for the roof, and i think it's next friday. it'll be exciting to get everything dried in! i feel like the site has looked pretty much the same for the past month, so it'll be nice to have something different and exciting to do!
